At Alternative Gifts we are committed to protecting your privacy, we use the information we collect
from your shopping experience here to process orders. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully
(in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). If you agree to join our mailing list then we use the email address you supply,

What information do we collect?

When you order we need to know your name, shipping address,
email address, credit card or debit card number and expiration date. This allows us to process your order.

When you sign up to our mailing list we only need to know your email address and you will be sent details of new products and special
offers in the store.
- When you send a wish list or email a friend a product page through the Alternative Gifts service,
we ask for your email address and that of the recipient in order to complete your request. Alternative Gifts will never disclose or send
promotional email to recipient addresses provided only to the Alternative Gifts service.
How do we protect your information?
The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.
During the process of placing an order you are offered the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts
all information sent to use including name, shipping address, email address, credit card or debit card number and expiration date.
The information is encrypted using 128 bit technology and housed behind firewall system.
We use Thawte certificates to enable
authenticated secure connection to our site.
Do we use cookies?
Yes, Alternative Gifts use cookies to enable a
better shopping experience. Cookies are small pieces of information stored locally on your computer by your browser.
We use cookies to enable you to hold the content of you shopping basket between visits, we do not store any personally identifying
information in these cookies.

Alternative Gifts does not sell any information about
their customers, its as simple as that.
